in focus copy 2

The first issue of In Focus (Dec. 2003) features the painting “Offerings” by prominent Cypriot artist George Skotinos.

The quarterly magazine IN FOCUS, published by the Cyprus PEN Centre and supported by the Cyprus Ministry of Culture and Education, went into publication in December 2003.

For ten years, the print edition has been successfully promoting, all over the world, noteworthy contemporary works of Cypriot Discourse and Art, as well as the cultural scene and cultural heritage of Cyprus, and encouraging non-Cypriot creators to involve themselves in Cypriot matters.

The magazine’s permanent sections, which will now also be reflected in the online edition, are: Poetry, Prose, Essays, Visual Art, Interviews, Travelogues, Publications and Cultural Life and Activity.

  1. Hello. I am interested in buying the current issue of “In Focus”. Where could I do that? Thank you. Helen Barrett [nee Afxentiou] …..a new resident of Cyprus.

    • Hi Helen,

Thank you for your interest in In Focus.

The magazine can be purchased from booksellers and news-stands in Cyprus such as Soloneion, Metropolitan and others. I’d suggest you call them to see what they have in stock. If the bookshops are sold out and cannot order it for you, please contact us again to make arrangements.

To receive by post the printed edition of “In Focus,” which is published four times a year, please send your name and address to the cashier of the Cyprus PEN Centre, Mr. Costas Hatzigeorgiou at P.O. Box 27717, 2432 Engomi, Nicosia, Cyprus. Please include the amount of EU 20 (for a one year subscription) and a note indicating the purpose for the payment.

      Thank you
